Iran has stated it will cease its military actions if Israel stops what it calls “illegal aggression,” with a deadline of 4 am local time (00:30 GMT). This announcement comes amidst escalating tensions following a series of attacks between the two nations, marking what US President Donald Trump referred to as a “12-day war.”

Despite Trump’s earlier claim of a truce between Israel and Iran, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi clarified that no formal ceasefire agreement had been reached. Iran’s offer hinges on Israel halting its offensive actions.

In retaliation for the US airstrikes on its nuclear sites earlier on Sunday, Iran launched a barrage of missiles targeting a military base in Qatar that hosts American troops. The attack, according to Iranian sources, has resulted in more than 400 fatalities, including 13 children, with over 3,000 others reported injured.

Israel has yet to issue an official statement on the situation, and the diplomatic discussions continue to unfold.
